During the State of the Union Address President Obama said,
"We need to outinnovate, outeducate and outbuild the rest of the world. We have to make America the best place on Earth to do business. We need to take responsibility for our deficit and reform our government. That's how our people will prosper. That's how we'll win the future."
What specific ideas do you have to help the United States economy to prosper?
Create more jobs that make American products.
ReplyDeleteHe said we have to rebuild our inferstructure which i agree with. We have to keep reinventing ourselves to stay ahead of the world.
ReplyDeleteWhat future are we looking to win? We need to get outta debt and start motivating the population to work towards a better future. People need to stop being lazy and relying in unemployment and work at getting a decent job and education. We need to make Earth a happier place where people can apprecieate what they have. Yes, take responsibility for messing up and build a better government. The future is out of all of our reach. There is no way of winning that.
ReplyDeleteOne idea that I have is to come up with new school plans to to educate people better. They need to think of ways that will make people be able to be better educated and make them better at their jobs in the future, which will solve a lot of problems that there is right now in this country.
ReplyDeleteTo help the economy everyone should really get a good education by going to college and finishing school. Without a schools education it would be hard to get a job with where the economy is right now. We also need more jobs. We lose a lot of jobs by producing things in other countries we should produce jobs by producing things in the U.S.A
ReplyDeleteI think that we should making everything in America instead of getting it from china which would create more jobs. If more people had jobs that means there would be more money for people to spend which would slowly bring the economy back up.

ReplyDeleteWell I think... That people just need to be more informed with what is going on. Because most of the people just know bits and peices of the economy and they put their twist on it and they don't understand the full thing so they point the blame on other things/people. If everyone was on the same page with things more people would be working together and there would be more opinions and more options to get things looking better again. I think schools should really start teaching what is going on like right now and what will happen if we don't start changing that. I also think that less people should count on disability and let the people that really truly need it have it..
ReplyDeleteWe should cut taxes on businesses so they have more money to hire people and they can expand their business to create more jobs. More jobs is what we need to spark the economy. The more money people have, the more they spend.
ReplyDeleteI think that in order for our country to excel again we need to take immediate action with the government's spending habits. Instead of taxing the citizen's through the roof, we need to go through all the businesses that have been recieving hand outs and cut them off based on their current financial state. We should go through government programs and make adjustments to the spending within them, or all together cut them out if they are no longer serving a major purpose. I believe we also should reinstate a sense of independece in the economy when it comes to making our products and although it may be more cost-effective, the government should stress a point of decreasing the outsourcing of jobs to make their products to all major companies within the country.
ReplyDeleteWith all the spending our country does, if we would cut some money off of programs or take away programs for a while the deficit would begin dwindling away. Also if more people started working together to achieve one common goal at a time, things would happen a lot quicker. There are too many people focused on debating opposite ideas when most people all want generally the same thing, if we could all negotiate to satisfy all needs problems in the economy and other aspects could be solved and disappear.
ReplyDeleteWe should cut spending because the deficit is way too large. Also taxes should be cut on the middle class and large companies so that they can hire more people and lower unemployment.
ReplyDeleteIn order to create a better economic flow, I think the first thing we need to focus on is education. For one, a decent amount of citizens don't even fully understand the situation we're in. The media needs to kick it up a notch and use their role in society to start informing people in a less vague way.
ReplyDeleteAnother problem is the education system for our generation. The lack of disciplinary code and individual help is causing students to be unmotivated an drop out more than ever. College has also become more of a burden for some adults because of high tuition fees and lak of income. How are we supposed to create all of these jobs, if there is no one to create them? Job creation is a crucial factor in saving our economy.
This country spends way too much money on stuff that we do not need to spend it on. With the economy the way it is it is hard to be creating jobs when the employer does not have the demand or money for extra workers. Work needs to come from the military employing companies which will employ workers because we are still fighting a war. Obama also says the recession is over, how can he say that? There are still so many jobless and without money and companies tanked and haven't revamped the economy. The government is living the high life while countless Americans are suffering which is bullshit. Why shoud they live such high quality of life, they should be living the life their country lives. Obama also wants to add teachers but how is that supposed to happen when the schools are making budget cuts the way it is?

We need to cut back on military spending and stay out of wars that are unnecessary for our immediate national security. The role we have been playing as world police since the cold war has created much of the world, especially Islam, to disagree with us. We need to stop trying to figure out how to beat other superpowers such as China and India and focus on working with them to improve our economy as well as the national global economy. We also need to drive harder to work on better sources of energy then we have been using for the past century. There are so many new ideas that are cheaper, safer, and better for our environment than the current technologies being used.

ReplyDeleteThere will always be problems. Im honestly unsure of what we should spend it on. But i know for sure that we should stop spending it on drug prohibition. We could save SO much money if we did something different with this. People with addictions to drugs is their own problem. Not to arrest them. That costs much money to keep someone in Prison. Its much better to spend the money on someone who was raping children rather than a very nice "pothead".
