Restoring the American Dream

After reading the article by Fareed Zakaria, what aspect, do you feel, is most important at helping America return to prominence?   Do you feel we are capable actually capable of returning to prominence or are the days of the US as the leader in the world a thing of the past?

    I think that to get back to our former splendor, America needs picture what is going on now as something as extreme as the Cold War was in the 1950s. America is still one of the most educated countries and if we stress how important your educational performance is we will prevail. The country is still bursting with great minds who possibly just need that extra nudge to get their ideas going. Once we get that innovative and creative thinking back into play, is when our country will no longer need to fear. For our country has been faced with adversities before, and this time is no different. All we need are a few people to light the flame that will start the explosion of a few thousand others creative minds.

    I think that American can make a comeback, people just need to realize this is a great issue and get an education. We need people to come up with some ideas to make more jobs and get the country back on track, inorder to do this they need to be educated. If people dont start to make progress soon bringing in people from other countries may help us to prosper. People from different parts of the world may bring new ideas from different cultures, and help us to be successful in America. We need to stop being so materialistic and selfish and realize what is really important.

    I think our country can comeback, the people in america need to be more motataved to get a good education. Some people in America are smart enough to make a difference, they just need to do something about it. It is harder for America to be leaders with the new technology and globalization but the minds of some Americans can still come up with even newer ideas and make an outcome with it.

    I think that the United States will be a leader in the world again, people just have to try a little harder. Many people who have not gone to college right away after high school are trying to get educated and many high school gradutes are going to college and this will keep America educated. It will be more of a challange to be a world leader because of technology and globalization, but it is possible.

    I believe it'll get worse before it gets better. Right now other counrties are making more gains then us and nothing new is coming out of America. We have to start inovating ourselves if we want to get back on top. Other countries are building better railways, airports, and roads and we're falling behind. Until we do something big we're going to keep falling behind and that's a scary thought.

    I think America can once again become a leader in the world again. We have enough smarts to be able to achieve becoming a leader but as a nation we need to become motivated enough to achieve this goal. It might take a while with the technology and globalization of today, but its a realistic goal that our generation can complete in the future. We have many ideas that could get us back on top with the many great minds we have, we just need to set goals as a nation and take it one day at a time.

    I think we can return to prominence eventually. I think everyone has to try harder and expect more from themselves if its actually going to happen. People cant just think that they can sit back and do nothing and expect others to pick up the slack. It would need to be a country-wide effort to overcome everything that has happened not just the leaders of the country.

    I think America can soon become leaders again. Americans just need to work very hard to claim that spot again.People have to actually do something so they can have that spot. People cant just expect to have things given to them. They need to work hard.

    This country needs hardworking people who can pull together not lazy people. If we continue the path were on we will have another depression. We can be the powerhouse we once were but it will take bold moves. We need to remove the lying politicians that got us into this mess.

    I personally do not believe that American will rise to be a major world leader again. Because the flat world idea. It is an equal playing field for everyone that has internet which is world wide. The country also has huge amounts of debt which is another reason why I dont believe America will rise again. But as a whole the country has gotten very lazy, which is a cause of giving minorities too many rights and opportunities. so maybe if we work hard it could be I just dont see it happening.

    I starts with education. We need to educate the workers of the future. We need to prepare the current generation for the challenges they will face as adults. Today parents have the wrong attitude towards their children's education which will, in turn, change the attitudes of the kids themselves. Now our education system seems like a hit or miss philosophy, with many more misses than hits.

    I think that the most important thing to do is to get some cash flow going and make people more comfortable with spending their money. I think that it is not lost because the economy is just bad right now. Once the economy gets better people will start having a better outlook on America and think things will get better for them.

    The US will soon come into power again if the government reaLLY pays attention to where its' money is going. With education in mind, it should be super easy to restore power.

    We need to improve the economy and get things flowing smoothly. Its not lost completley. Changes have to be made that should have happened a long time ago.
